we say,
"you'd be prouder if i succeded."
"it took all the guts i had. and that wasn't enough."
"neither was putting myself out there."
we said it was worth it.
but it wasn't.
if you never try you can never be disappointed.
you'll never spend late nights working on things doomed to end in failure, and you'll never have to rock yourself to sleep bathed in your own tears.
