the girl with the long brown hair and the sparkling blue eyes was a believer. she believed in a lot of things, but most of all she believed in trust. she always trusted, she gave every single person she ever met a little piece of her heart. she told a lot of people things about her because she trusted them. she had faith that they were good people and that they would be good to her.
sometimes these people were virtual strangers, but they walked away from their encounter with that girl clutching a piece of her and she walked away, hoping they treat it well.
she meets new people and pretends they've been friends forever, because that's how she thinks they will become friends forever. she tries to be comfortable and she tries to make others comfortable.
recently she has ran into a problem, she is out of pieces of her soul.
a lot of the people are trusted and have kept her soul with them always, but others have taken it and stomped on it until it bled. she felt the pain but tried to keep the smile on her face. you can only be burned so many times until you learn your lesson about being an open book. she has tried to close herself off, but since she has generated this personality, or appearance, of always being open and always telling everyone everything, the few people she chose to be open with spread her secrets out to the rest of the world.
she's also encountered the problem of her actions being mistaken for love when all she intended was kindness. openness=flirtatiousness, but no one ever told her. she just tries to be nice, but that has now resulted in her being handed bits of other souls, and there is no way for her to juggle them all without them all crashing to the ground in one, large broken pile of hopes and feelings.
her passion that once burned like a wildfire, is left to nothing more than smoldering ash because she doesn't know who she is and who everyone else needs her to be.

ReplyDeleteSavanna you are such a perfect little arrangements of atoms, you don't need to do anything. Who you are is beautiful. Be who you are bravely, and don't change for anything or anyone.
