change whistles through the air faster than you can breathe it all in. and as you try to take the air in, it hurts your lungs and makes your heart bleed. you bleed for the memories and the way things were, and while you're standing with your back turned towards the sunrise, life is still happening.
the colors and the faces are blurring together, until up is left and right is down.
change is confusing.
sometimes the acne on your face is the only constant companion you have, but its also the only thing you could live without.
living in the moment is hard, but when you do it, its lovely.
because you stand at the top of the mountain and change is still hurtling at you, but this time you inhale it.
and when you take that step off the ledge, taking a deep breath, and you know what, that's when you learn how to fly.
when you fly, you can see everything, you see the past, the place you once were-the person you used to be. and you can see the present, in the present you seize the opportunities with both hands clenched around the moments so that you can save them for your own personal history. but the most amazing part about flight, is that you can see the future, and while you are there, fearless, and courageous, you know that it will work out and that you are going to be okay, you know that your story isn't ending-its just a new chapter. and in the next chapter, the characters you love will remain.
change is in the wind, in our hearts, and in your eyes. the sooner we embrace that, the sooner we can take that step and fly.
