There is no greater thing you can do than to make someone's life better than it was before you came into it. Even just touching one persons life is a reason to live and to get up every morning and to put a smile on your face.
I want to make a difference and I want to help people feel better about themselves, even if it's just for a moment, because a talent I have is seeing the good in people. And if I can see the good in them, why would I keep that to myself?
I tell strangers something nice about their appearance on a daily basis and I tell friends something special about their personality because that's something that I can do to make their life better.
Because of this realization I am figuring some things out:
That's why I want to be on student council because I feel like I would be more able to make a difference on a school wide scale.
This is why I want to be a doctor so I can participate in the Doctors without Borders program in Africa. Because I want to heal their wounds and maybe save lives.
That's why I want to serve an LDS mission because I want to heal wounded hearts and piece back together shattered souls.
You're great.
